Hello 👋
Hello 👋

I'm Jennifer, a senior product designer focussed on delivering leading digital experiences. I have a history in fashion and graphic design, and a love of science and science fiction. I prefer grey areas, nuance and try to avoid categorical thinking. I also really like getting stuff done – Google Keep is my favourite app. My current interests include building a latticework of mental models and playing piano.

My journey began in fashion school, where I learned how form and function come together to create symbolic, cultural products. Draping fabric on a mannequin taught me about craft and materiality, but I found myself drawn to the visual layout of my fashion portfolios.

I graduated from university with a degree in Visual Communication, and started my professional career at Google’s Creative Lab. During my time there, I had the pleasure of working with a talented group of makers, thinkers and tinkerers, and some incredible cultural institutions including Visual Editions, Penguin Random House, Impossible, Griffin Theatre Company and The British Museum. It was here that I started to develop a taste for digital experimentation, the magic of interaction design and the thrill of rapid prototyping.

I’ve designed meaningful customer experiences with Deloitte Digital Sydney, transforming the way companies interact with their customers through their digital channels. My focus was on driving wellbeing outcomes for customers, particularly in the financial services industry.

More recently, I joined the team at Unbabel, based in Lisbon, Portugal. We are creating universal understanding through our AI-powered, human-quality translation products. I'm part of the Community R&D team, which researches, designs and builds tools for our worldwide community of translators and linguists.

WIth a demonstrated history of working across the product delivery lifecycle from discovery through to evolution, I'm passionate about using qualitative and quantitative data to inform product strategy. Currently, I find myself leading the product design tribe and contributing to the growth of a product mindset within engineering-led teams.
