Hello 👋🏼

Hello 👋
Hello 👋

I’ve spent the last 5+ years honing my craft as a product designer.

My ethnic background has contributed to my interest in how we use words and visual language to communicate, and led to a desire to create experiences that are informed by an empathetic understanding of people.

Admitted to UTS for fashion and textiles design, I learned how form and function come together to create symbolic cultural products. Fashion gave me an appreciation for craft and materiality. I explored spatial design whilst studying in France, but ended up graduating from university as a visual communicator.

My design career started at Google’s Creative Lab. I had the pleasure of working with a talented group of thinkers and tinkerers, and powerhouse cultural institutions including Penguin Random House, The British Museum, Visual Editions, Griffin Theatre Company, and Impossible. It was here that I developed a taste for digital experimentation and the magic of interaction design.

I joined Deloitte Digital as a user experience consultant to learn what creative problem solving in a corporate environment meant. I worked mostly in the financial services industry, optimising the way customers interact with their financial service providers through digital channels. Consulting primed me for navigating stakeholder relationships and building structure in ambiguous environments.

I moved to Lisbon to join Unbabel – an AI-powered, human-quality translation scale-up. Together with my product team, I designed experiments to optimise internal processes and improve the tools that our worldwide community of translators and linguists use on a daily basis.

These days, I work as a freelance product designer interested in working with clients that promote health and wellbeing outcomes for people.
